Well a basic setup you can just pull 3-4 dmg spells, 1-2 energy managment spells, 1-2 utility, etc. Very Basic idea.

For example:
[skill]Lightning Strike[/skill][skill]Lightning Bolt[/skill][skill]Lightning Orb[/skill][skill]Invoke Lightning[/skill][skill]Glyph Of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Air Attunement[/skill][skill]Blinding Flash[/skill][skill]Aura of Restoration[/skill] -OR- [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill] (Any rez choice, Rebirth is a good idea for general PvE)

Air Magic: 16 (12+3+1)
Energy Storage: 13 (12+1)

Skills you can also use in that mix to further certain purposes::
More utility: [skill]Storm Djinn's Haste[/skill], [skill]Chilling Winds[/skill]
Utility Vs Foes: [skill]Shock[/skill], [skill]Gale[/skill], [skill]Whirlwind[/skill]
More damage: [skill]Chain Lightning[/skill], [skill]Lightning Javelin[/skill], [skill]Enervating Charge[/skill]

Hope that all helps! Just some info to give you a basic idea of a generic Air Build! Works just fine in all PvE, works a bit in low end PvP (RA, TA, AB, etc), at taht point other Air Elites are better choices in any PvP...

The build above is OK, except for Aura of Restoration. Also, NEVER BRING REBIRTH WITH AN ELEMENTALIST. With the massive amount of energy they have, you'll have a disabled ele for a long time.

An extremely easy-to-use and fun build to play with is the Dual Attunement Mystic Air Spiker. Here's the build:

Earth Magic - 12+1+3
Energy Storage - 10+1
Earth Prayers - 8

Blessed Armor and a Hale Staff of Enchanting 20/20.

Let's see... This build has everything and can beat everything without enchantment removal. +9 regen, constant 84 armor (94 with blessed Insignia), INCREDIBLE damage, energy management, doesn't get better than that.

ok here is the most basic air build that i run its easy and its fun and it owns in pvp too ^^

[skill]lightning strike[/skill][skill]enervating charge[/skill][skill]lightning javelin[/skill][skill]blinding flash[/skill][skill]elemental attunement[/skill][skill]air attunement[/skill][skill]aura of restoration[/skill][skill]resurrection chant[/skill]

this build has perfect synergy so you keep spaming with no stop and you will never run out of energy. blinding flahs will stop and attackers but it more importantly is a heal with aura o resto you are really hard to kill with this build because of the constant heals from aura and with rez chant you can always bring your allies back quick and easy.

now i own all 3 games so i have trouble keeping track of which skills go to what so tell me if i got some skills listed that arnt proph nf

If you're running dual attunements, there's no reason you can't spam [skill]lightning orb[/skill] and [skill]lightning hammer[/skill] instead of strike and javelin. You get double the damage for the same effort. Also, aura of restoration kinda sucks. You'd be a lot better off with mystic regeneration.

Polynikes- I don't know why you really need conviction or lightning javelin on that bar. Gale or enervating charge gives you more utility, and you can constantly spam damage spells anyway. As for conviction, it's nice, but you already have decent enough defenses from blind and health regen, and a rez is so very, very useful.

because the cast times and recharges on my build are low enough to where by the time you cast those 2 ive already cast 4 or so the build i use is just spam crazy and because of that aura o resto is really useful cause 20 to 40 health a second is crazy healing.... but mysic regen is also good but it slows you down having to reapply it so often.... but thats just my opinion

Mystic Regeneration with Dual Attunements gives you 9 regeneration. That's 18 health a second. You have to recast it every 20 seconds. It has a 5 second recharge. No big deal. Aura of Restoration... sucks. It doesn't compare to the healing of Mystic Regen. With your build, you can spam somewhat Lightning Javelin and Lightning Strike. They'll both heal you for a mediocre 19 hp at 13 energy storage. 1 second casts and the aftercast delay just won't cut it. And not running Hammer and Orb on a Dual Attunement bar is just plain stupid. You don't even need Elemental Attunement to spam Lightning Javelin and Lightning Strike! LMAO.

@Dr Strangelove: I don't believe in bringing a rez in PvE unless it's a hard rez. Sometimes it's useful, other times, it remains useless on your bar. ***ESPECIALLY*** in normal mode. In hard mode, if im in a PuG, I'll probably take one.

Excepting of course that [skill]lightning hammer[/skill] is Factions only.

First of all, it is "OK" since i stated that is is a *very* basic air build. Aura of Restoration was just something i left as an optional choice, or any ressurection. Never bring rebirth eh? Methinks you don't do DoA or Hardmode too often. Natural regen recovers one's energy just fine, since the whole party will no doubt need time to recover if you had to use Rebirth. Additionally, amost 99% of the time im in PvE someone has BR even the henchies (Eve!). Needless to say, my very basic build is universal in regards to setup, since i ALSO pointed out many vartion skills to bring (and obviously many not mentioned also).

Just to clarify, what i'm referring to.
